New Addition

Meet the newest addition to our family

 Gretta June

On my birthday this last Thursday, we went and picked up our little fur-baby. She just turned 6 weeks this last weekend. She's a little black lab. We found an ad for a breeder of Labs in the Oregonian and went to check her out last weekend. She was all the way out in Mulino.

We wanted her to have a little old ladies name and this one just seemed to fit. She was born June 9th, so her middle name is just fitting.

We've been having fun this week:

We are a family of three now!

Lots more puppy photos to come!!

House to Home

The Lord has blessed us with the home of our dreams! During the long process with the short sale, this house came up for sale and we jumped at the opportunity to take a look at it. We did and after one month we were pending with the bank. We said sayonara to the short sale house and moved forward with this one. Exactly 1 1/2 months after we put our offer in we were able to move in.

The Lord's timing is mysterious, sometimes hard to be patient for, but always so worth it. This process has truly made me put my faith in the Lord into action and be patiently trusting to his timing and plans. Even though it took a long time, I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. This home we are in now is so absolutely perfect (to us) and we are so excited to be living in it. It is fun to get to know the house, the neighborhood, and the neighbors (still got to make our block rounds)

Here are a few pics of what our first week has looked like.

We lived out of boxes in our apartment for the last two weeks we were there. By the last week we had to drink out of old spaghetti jars because I packed all our glasses (oops!):

The day we signed the papers was an exciting one. Definitely second to our wedding day:

It has been a busy fun week! Honestly though, I've had so much fun with moving. It's been a blast making this place ours.

Wedding Weekend

This weekend we had a lot of fun participating in a friends wedding.  One of Cory's great friends married at a Vineyard in Aurora, Or. Cory was in the wedding so he spent all of Friday night and Saturday morning with the groom and other groomsmen. I helped the day of the wedding with decor.

Everything this wedding was.

We had some fun exploring the vineyards:

It was a hot yet fun day:

Sparklers are always a perfect way to have the bride and groom exit off to their honeymoon.

A little sparkler dance was in order after that:

The venue was gorgeous and the weather couldn't have been more perfect:

Happy Marriage Stephie & Andy!
So blessed to have been apart of their first day of being Mr. & Mrs.

Fourth of July (2013)

This Independence Day was quite special. We threw a little backyard bbq - potluck style - with a few close friends and my parents. We ended the night on top of our roof to enjoy practically every firework show from Vancouver Wa to Oregon City Or. The view was gorgeous and it felt pretty magical.

Had to throw on some glitter eyeshadow.

Happy Independence Day! Hope everyone had fun.

Seattle Visit: Food and Fun

This weekend (i.e.  my weekend this week) I went to Seattle for another visit to see my sister. Wow was it a great time. I think this visit had a theme of Food and dressing up.
 Which of course = fun.

Our first day we went to Mamnoon to have an excellent to-go lunch. This restaurant is super neat. You could get dressed up and have a fancy dinner out, or you can grab a to go lunch at their window and head down to Pike's Place. That is exactly what we did. The walk from Mamnoon to the Public Market is just far and close enough to enjoy a little lunch on the go as well as a nice walk. We headed down there and picked up some flowers and some Nag Champa at The Souk
(had to get Cory a little something)

Had to take a photo in front of Frans Chocolates. My middle name is Frances and Cory always calls me by that or Franny.

We then went to a little park and enjoyed the sun.

That evening we got a little dressed up and went to The Bait Shop for a little pre-dinner drink. I got the Ginger Beer with Rum and it was very delicious.

We ended the night at Poppy. Such. Great. Food.  Natural and delicious food with tons of flavor.

It was such a delicious weekend!! And we had some beautiful weather that just made it that much sweeter.

Until next time Seattle :)
