Hartmann's Haunted Halloween

This past weekend Cory and I hosted a little Halloween Party. It was so much fun! We dubbed it the Hartmann's Haunted Halloween…and I think this will become an annual thing. It was a costume party and we ate and danced and laughed a lot. Oh and took a bunch of photos. My friend was awesome enough to set up a photo booth and it was so fun!

Rock Stars

Wayne and Garth from Wayne's World

The Tin Man and Dorothy

Curious George and the Man in the Yellow Hat

Cats and Mice

The variety of costumes we had were so crazy! We all may have spent a little too much time at the photo booth.

I made some "poison shots" for us to enjoy and the boys might have taken it out of control.
 Boys will be boys.

This party was so much fun and so fulfilling for the soul. Being with the friends we do life with, laughing, enjoying each other's company, and getting silly is necessary every now and then. I'm glad my friends know how to have fun.

Pumpkin Patching

We finally made it to the pumpkin patch! I have never been pumpkin hunting before and I was really excited to finally start the tradition. Our friends invited us to do the whole experience at Kruger Farms
Corn Maze, Hay Ride to the pumpkin patch, cider tasting, and snacks that included caramel apples and buttery ears of roasted corn. Yup, we did the whole-shabang.

The maze turned out to be more legit then I thought. Took us quite a while to actual figure out where all the markers where. We usually go to the haunted maze but this was a fun change.

We both found the pumpkin that we liked best. Not the prettiest or the biggest, but perfect enough for us.

4th Annual October Beach Trip

This past weekend we headed to the beach for a little day trip. We always make sure we go to the beach in October. We first went when Cory and I were dating and it just kind of stuck. Besides it being a tradition of ours, it really is the perfect time to go to the beach. Not too hot. Not too crowded. The leaves are starting to change colors, which makes for a pretty spectacular drive. We try and go to a different beach every time, but this time we were craving our favorite spot. Tolovana Beach right outside Cannon Beach, Or.

We woke up early and headed toward the ocean. We didn't stay long, but long enough to have a really great time.

Something about beach houses that makes me really want one..
Also, something about a dog's face mid-shake that makes me laugh.

It was a really fun time and I can't wait to go again. We will for sure be making more day trips to the ocean this fall and winter. Maybe even rent a beach house for a few nights!
