Family Trip: Central Oregon

It was Lewis' first time to our family's timeshare in Redmond. A very special trip for us all! We've been coming to our timeshare since 1997. The same house, multiple times a year. I remember so many family memories there, playing house with my dolls, riding our bikes to the pools, hide and go seek, and so on.

We rested a lot, my parents got a lot of Lew time, and Cory and I had some alone time. It was a nice change of pace and a great first trip for Lewis. He also surprised us and slept the whole way there. Looking forward to the next trip we have.

Monthly Lewis 1

5-20-2016

Little sleep but lots of lovin'. The theme of this first month. I feel as though his birthday was so long ago and yet I can't believe he's already a month! He's starting to plump out a little bit and growing out of a lot of his clothes. No longer in the newborn diapers or clothes.

Likes include: Eating, all day everyday. Sleeping in someones arms. Bath time. Sitting up.

This kid has some serious neck muscles. He tries his darndest to hold his head up all the time. It's equal parts impressive and annoying. He gets upset when he can't be sitting up, but you have to still really watch his head because he doesn't have total control of it yet. He nurses around the clock and we are still waking up every 3 hours at night to feed. He does get right down to business though and many blessings that he is such a great eater. He got the hang of it pretty quick and for that I am thankful.

He weighs 11.8 lbs is and 22 inches long. Growing like a boss!

Dislikes include: Car rides. Changing clothes. Sleeping anywhere but in my arms.

Car rides involve a lot of tears but we are hopeful one day he'll learn to tolerate them. He doesn't like clothes going over his head so getting dressed is quite the adventure. I've learned to put his onesies on from the bottom up. He has a ton of clothes but pretty much lives in his onesies.

We are loving our little buddy and can't believe how quickly this time is going. The days are long but the years are short, so they say. And I'm truly learning that.

So in love with watching him grow and see his little personality come out a little more each week.

We love you Lewis Thomas,
