We are in the time frame now where baby boy can come any day. I feel a lot of peace about this time. I'm ready for his birth day. As ready as I think I'll ever be. And knowing that we've made it here, and have so smoothly, just makes me so thankful and happy.
These last days are definitely hard, don't get me wrong. I'm still working and I can feel my body is telling me that the end is near. I'm sore but happy. Nesting is in full mode. I clean parts of the house everyday I'm off. I can get used to how clean the house has been but I don't think that'll last once our little one is in our arms.
The weather is changing, we set up the stroller this week, and I'm really looking forward to being able to go outside with the girls and Lewis once he gets here.
Some things I'm doing to keep my mind off the clock:
- small projects around the house, little things
- walking, walking, walking
- planning small outings with friends and family
- journaling
- little yard work projects
This time is so special for us. The last few weeks (or days!) just the two of us; soaking in our quiet time and lazy days. But also the anticipation that he is coming! We'll never be in this position again and I'm really trying to enjoy every last minute of this pregnancy.
It's gone by so fast and yet so slowly too. It will be two years this month that we started this journey of growing our family and it makes me giddy that we are so close to having a kid!
