Before & After: Master Bedroom

I finally got around to re-doing our master bedroom. It seemed as though we had a hundred other things we'd rather spend our time doing. But enough was enough. Our bedroom was just a sad, un inviting place that we didn't want to spend any time in.
I started by painting the walls, ceiling, and our main dresser all white. You couldn't really tell how awfully yellow the walls were until the glorious white paint went on.

Bed area with the awkward little window.

Reading nook before. Yes that is a blanket tacked up as a curtain. I warned you it was sad.

The very cluttered gallery wall with our very dated dresser.

I decided to hang curtains from wall to wall to cover up that awkward little window. It makes the space look so much bigger. I also wanted an accent wall of a different color but couldn't decide on one. These curtains are the perfect solution; I can change them out for different colors as I please.

After gallery wall. Much less cluttered. And the re-done dresser! It's amazing how far a little paint and new fixtures go.

After reading nook. Such a more inviting space.

I'm so glad to finally have our master done. We are slowly making this house into our home and it's a lot of fun and a lot of work. I'm glad we are going so though, taking our time, and really deciding how we want things to look. We hope this is our forever home and we are doing the best to make it feel like it too.
